To start off the UFC main card we have London native Brad Pickett returning home against Francisco Rivera. Both of these men are hard-nosed bantamweights that always come to fight. Unfortunately for both men their careers have seen better days. Picket and Rivera both have only won one fight in their past four.
Pickett’s most recent UFC fight was against dynamic prospect Thomas Almeida. Pickett was catching Almeida with quick punches, slipping many of his shots and ultimately dropped Almeida in the first round. In the first minute of the second round Almeida launched a beautiful flying knee, knocking out Pickett. That was Pickett’s third loss in a row, and one has to wonder how long the UFC is going to keep him around.
