Junior Dos Santos returned for his first bout since losing the trilogy to the UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez in October of 2013. In the main event of UFC on FOX 13, Dos Santos faced up and comer Stipe Miocic, who looked to establish his pace amongst the top of the division facing the toughest test in his career.

The lone blemish on Miocic’s record came against Stefan Struve in 2012, since then he’s reel off three straight wins over formidable opponents earning the fourth rank spot on the UFC’s rankings. The two were originally scheduled to meet in May, but an injury postponed the bout until now.
