Joanna Jedrzejczyk is the undisputed champion of the UFC strawweight division, winning her title at UFC 185 and defending it twice in dominant fashion. The Polish standout is undefeated in 11 career fights, five of which have come in the UFC. Her last appearance was a hard-fought decision victory over sixth-ranked Valerie Letourneau. The striking specialist also won the first battle between Gadelha and herself via controversial decision.
Claudia Gadelha is the top-ranked strawweight in the UFC. The Brazilian is the owner of a 13-1 record, with the lone loss coming against Jedrzejczyk at UFC on FOX 13. Gadelha successfully took down Joanna seven times in that fight, but the judges’ scorecards were not in her favor. After dealing with injuries, Gadelha defeated former WSOF champion Jessica Aguilar, the thirteenth-ranked strawweight in the UFC, at UFC 190 in what was her last appearance.
