Daniel Cormier has seen success in both the heavyweight and light heavyweight division. Before dropping to 205-pounds, Cormier defeated Josh Barnett, Frank Mir, and Roy Nelson. After defeating Patrick Cummins and Dan Henderson, pushing his record to 15-0, Cormier received a title shot. Cormier was defeated by the former champion Jon Jones, but received a second chance after Jones was stripped of the title. Cormier defeated Anthony Johnson to win the belt, and defended it against Alexander Gustafsson. This will be a non-title bout.
Anderson Silva has all sorts of UFC records, including most consecutive victories (16), most title defenses (10), most finishes (14), and most knockdowns (17). Silva’s reign over the UFC’s middleweight division ended in 2013, when he was knocked out by Chris Weidman. Since then, he is 1-2, and had that win overturned due to performance enhancing drugs. Silva pulled out of a bout with Uriah Hall at UFC 198 due to gall bladder surgery.
