Opening the four-fight main card of UFC Fight Night 50 was a lightweight contest between Joe Lauzon and TUF 15 winner, Michael Chiesa (23-9) vs. Michael Chiesa (11-1).
The always entertaining and looking for the finish, Joe Lauzon has uncharacteristically gone to a decision in his last three bouts–suffering losses in two of them. He is coming off a win over Mac Danzig in December of last year, a 9 month layoff between fights.
Meanwhile Chiesa has been able to bounce back from his first career loss to Jorge Masvidal by winning his next two bouts over Colton Smith and Francisco Trinaldo.
